Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GrassWork mobile app and website (together, the "service"). By creating an account, booking a service, posting a review, applying to join, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

2. Who we are and our role

GrassWork is a platform that connects customers with independent tradespeople — such as plumbers, electricians, carpenters, welders, masons, and painters — in Pakistan.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract to use the service. By using the service, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

4. Accounts and sign-in

To use the app you sign in with an email one-time code, Google, or Apple. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and account secure and for any actions taken through your account. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission. We may suspend or restrict accounts that are used to abuse the service.

5. Booking a service

When you submit a booking, you are making a request. We share your contact details with a tradesperson so they can reach you. The acceptance of the job, scheduling, scope of work, materials, and the work itself are arranged directly between you and the tradesperson.

We do not guarantee that a tradesperson will be available, will respond within any particular time, or that any job will be accepted or completed. Please use your own judgement before allowing anyone into your home or premises.

6. Pricing and payment

Prices for work are agreed directly between you and the tradesperson and are paid directly to them, typically in cash. GrassWork does not collect, hold, or process payments through the service.

Because we are not part of the payment, we are not responsible for the amounts charged, quotes or estimates given, tips, or any dispute over price or payment. Please agree on the price and what is included before work begins.

7. Reviews and your content

You may submit reviews and ratings about your experience. By submitting content, you grant GrassWork a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and share that content in connection with the service.

Your content must be truthful, based on your own genuine experience, and must not be unlawful, misleading, defamatory, abusive, or contain other people's private information. We may moderate, edit, refuse, or remove content, and we apply anti-spam measures (including submission cooldowns) to keep reviews authentic. As described in our Privacy Policy, your name, rating, comment, and review time may be shown publicly, while your phone number is used only for authenticity checks and is not displayed.

8. Joining as a tradesperson

If you apply to join GrassWork as a tradesperson, you submit details such as your name, phone number, CNIC, and a photo so we can verify your identity. You confirm that this information is accurate and you consent to us verifying it.

Acceptance is at our discretion and does not create an employment relationship or any guarantee of work. Tradespeople operate as independent contractors and are solely responsible for their own work, conduct, tools, insurance, taxes, licences, and compliance with all applicable laws and safety requirements.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
• Harass, threaten, impersonate, or abuse anyone, including tradespeople and our team.
• Submit fake bookings, fake reviews, spam, or repeated abusive submissions.
• Scrape, copy, or harvest data, or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.
• Reverse engineer, interfere with, overload, or circumvent the security of the service.

10. Third-party services

The service relies on third parties such as sign-in providers (Google and Apple), our hosting and database provider, and the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.

11. Intellectual property

The GrassWork name, logo, app, website, and their content are owned by GrassWork or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the service without our permission.

12. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the service or about any tradesperson found through it.

We do not warrant the quality, safety, timeliness, legality, or outcome of any work performed by a tradesperson, and we are not responsible for their acts, omissions, conduct, or any loss or damage that results from their work or your dealings with them.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Pakistan, GrassWork will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss or damage arising out of work performed by, or your dealings with, a tradesperson. Because GrassWork acts only as an intermediary and does not charge you for connecting you with tradespeople, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us, if any, for the service.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold GrassWork harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of the service, your content, your breach of these Terms, or your dealings with a tradesperson or customer.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the service at any time if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect users or GrassWork. You may stop using the service at any time.

16. Changes to the service and these terms

We may update the service and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. The courts of Islamabad have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to the service or these Terms. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern amicably.
